Back to updating this thing..

I've decided to revive the blog. You can follow my progress on maxing total level as a tank here. I will be updating it with pictures every couple of days. I may also include other, non-rs related posts such as music, videos etc.

Current stats:

Current effigy count: 60

For those of you who don't know, I'm collecting enough effigys to get 91 - 99 RC in one day (roughly 130 effigys). I'm currently working on 99 slayer using an effigy-accustomed task list made by Zarfot for the most efficient effigy drops. 94 - 99 Slayer should get me roughly 45 more effigys, meaning I will have to cannon cave crawlers (see earlier posts) for the final 20 or so effigys.

Double XP Weekend Activities..

I love a good double experience weekend. Screw all the maxed players complaining about making the game easier!

91 -> 95 Theiving

I also did a few Slayer tasks once I reached 1.1x multiplier. Got about 180k xp in Slayer. Here's the loot and the current Effigy count.

I also did some Fishing, got about 140k xp in that. I should be 90 Fishing and 93 Slayer this week.

I'm considering using my Effigys on runecrafting instead of slayer once rc is 88+. It'll save me more time in the long-run maxing out as a tank. Plus, each effigy will give an average of 11.25k xp (average of the four stages xp reward out of 4 stages, 2 choices in each) aswell as the dragonkin lamp, as rc is a 1/2 chance of a stage in the effigy, unlike slayer which you can only use the dragonkin lamp on.

Of course, I could just do effigys 100% of the way for slayer and runecrafting, and get to like 120m ranged xp lol. But I think I'm going to do tasks/effigys 50/50 for slayer, and just camp effigys fully for runecrafting. I'll keep a full slayer loot tab untill 99, then sell it. What you see in the picture is just from one day slaying (excluding the herbs and 39 of the effigys).

Aswell as that, each effigy saves 3.5 hours skilling. I'll save well over 250 hours in the skills I don't have 99 in yet; like hunter, agil, theive, fish and mining. I have to get all those to higher lvls first though before i start opening the effigys.

Effigys & Diarys

Another boring week - more effigys and I also started doing all the task diarys. I have about 85% of all of them done now. Took a lot of quests but it's worth it for the items and XP lamps.

Also got 91 Theiving and 89 Fishing.

92 Slayer

Didn't take long from 91 - 92 :)
I am now going to collect all the Effigys for 99, and open them all in one day in a video.
That'll be +20m XP in total for opening ~140 Effigys, all in one day.

New project/goal of mine; Getting 99 Slayer without doing a single assigned Slayer Task :)
I'll be camping Effigies, which is surprisingly the fastest (and most expensive) way to train Slayer.
Cave Crawlers have the highest drop-rate of Effigies, averaging 1.2 per hour.

This should cost me 180m, assuming I bank all valuable herb drops with Yak, and take about 120 hours from 91 - 99. It  averages at about 45k Slayer XP an hour, if you use the Slayer XP on Effigies. You also gain 150k Ranged XP an hour.

Tried this for 3 hours today, and got 4 Effigie drops. Seems to work really nicely, I'll be keeping you updated. :P
